EPISODE
SEASON
Season 2 presents a new series of events, with Karl taking on a new experience but not really prepared for the polar conditions in Alaska. From another side, Ricky and Steve planned for some dog sleds, as well as visiting the Arctic. Maybe it would be very good when Carl finally got a whale watching trip, but he might discover that Ricky and Steve had hung him in a deep-sea fishing boat.

Apparently, Pilkington's appeal has something to do with his joyless demeanour and the resulting monologue of dreariness he manages to come out with everywhere he goes. This appeal continues to evade me.October 08, 2018
Except the reality of that venture, like most of this installment of An Idiot Abroad, is ultimately, despite a few bright moments, a disappointment.October 08, 2018
Karl Pilkington is a very unique person. His way of seeing things seems to be on another planet altogether from the rest of humanity and it shines through beautifully in series 2.October 08, 2018
As funny as the show is...the moments in which Pilkington actually embraces the trip, and by extension embraces life, truly really stand out this season.October 08, 2018
It€™'s a sign of great reality television that it manages to get drama from someone being very human and not overcoming their fear. It€™'s so rare to see someone admit to their so-called shortcomings, which Karl does here.October 08, 2018
[The season premiere is] not a strong start, although also not a trainwreck, just a minor letdown.
